It is impossible to live in Germany and not be involved in some sort of Oktoberfest. This year, unfortunately, we did not make it over to Munich for Germany's largest fest. However, for the second year in a row, we did make it to the second largest fest down in Stuttgart. We asked our new neighbors to join us, the girls donned their dirndls, and we made a day out of it.
| It was raining when we arrived, so we hit one of the beer tents first! |
| Charlotte, Taryn and Luke (who did not want his picture made!) wait for lunch. |
| Our crew shortly after we arrived. It was only 1:00pm, but clearly we had some catching up to do! |
| Lunch is served! |
| Something you frequently see in Germany... the waiter manually tallies our food/drink bill. |
| Greg and Taryn dance to the band. |
| Our new neighbors, Thomas and Nathalie. |
| The Bugg family shows their Oktoberfest spirit! |
| You can't tell, but we are standing on our bench. We have spirit too! |
| The music was a bit too loud for Sophie. |
A video of our beer tent. Hard to believe it's only 2:00pm. I can only imagine what this place will be like later on tonight!
| Family shot. |
| The girls pose outside our beer tent. |
| And now the whole family! |
| The girls are ready for their favorite part of Oktoberfest... the rides! |
| The girls get ready for their first ride (behind them)... the Wild Mouse! |
| Leena and Sophie are the only ones brave enough for the Star Flier (which I am pretty sure is spelled incorrectly!). |
| Strapped in and ready to go! |
| The Star Flier is not your normal swing ride! This one is in the clouds!!! The girls loved it! |
| Taryn and Charlotte opt for the spinning pirate ship ride closer to the ground. |
| Leena and Charlotte tour the fun house. |
