A fun day at Luisenpark - Mannheim

We met up with some of our BFFs today at Luisenpark up in Mannheim.  This is the third time we have been here but the first time we have gotten to share the experience with friends.  We arrived at the park at 10:30 and before we knew it, it was 4:30!  We enjoyed looking at some animals, playing on playgrounds (wet and dry) and a boat ride.  In addition, I discovered that there is a whole section of the park that we have not visited yet!  Looks like we'll be back soon!

Taryn, Elle and Britta entering the park.

Where do we go first?  Decisions, decisions.

We saw this tree in the park.  It was covered with pacifiers.  We are guessing that kids must come here and "donate" their pacifiers to the park.

Taryn makes a new friend.

Watching the penguins.

Need a ride?

On the water playground.  No bathing suit, no problem.  In Germany, you can just go in your birthday suit!

Love these bumper cars!

Leena just loved looking out for little Britta.  So sweet.

My little monkey.

Looks like the clothing optional theme carries over to all the playgrounds.  This is just something that I don't think I will ever get used to.  These girls looked to be around nine.

Boarding our boat.

The girls call these fish "smelly fish" but I call them "ugly fish".  There is just nothing cute about them!  They stalked us while we were on our boat ride.

On our way out of the park.  What a fun day!
